Our client, an iconic luxury British sports car manufacturer has an exciting opportunity for a Software Integration Engineer. The successful candidate will ensure commodity functions and features within a domain are delivered and implemented with respect to full vehicle electrical architecture and programme deadlines across all build phases.
 
The Software Integration Engineer will:
  • Carry out issue resolution and where required the technical implementation of mitigation plans.
  • Work collaboratively with Electrical Architecture & Commodity Teams to enable the delivery of new/ existing features.
  • Supports in engineering and technical reviews and escalation forums.
  • Prototype build and production line and fleet “first line” assistance.
  • Lead “Bring to Life” workstreams for a specific domain across lab cars and first fleet vehicles through the Integration Point and Feature Implementation Process.
 
The Software Integration Engineer will have:
  • Appropriate engineering degree or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of automotive architectures and communication protocols like CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet.
  • Basic working knowledge of one of the following domains: Powertrain, Chassis, ADAS, Body or Infotainment.
  • Experience of one of the following commodities is preferred e.g. powertrain (including hybrid), chassis, infotainment, connectivity and e-call, audio, cluster & displays, antennas, switchgear, lighting, camera & PDCs, body electronics.
  • Basic working knowledge of vehicle analysis using Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape or equivalent).
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical mindset and critical thinking.
