Purpose of Role: As a Programme and Performance Analyst within our Transport & Parking division, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects. Working closely with the Transport Contracts & Performance Manager, you will track project delivery and outcomes, maintain program information, and analyse data to support data-led decision making and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders to ensure understanding of project objectives and to report on project performance.
  • Ensure timely submission of project management documentation, including program trackers, change control processes, and project plans.
  • Ensure compliance with the Council's Programme and Project Management System, clarifying roles and responsibilities within the project delivery team.
  • Contribute to the development of robust business cases and identify project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Design process maps and procedures for the division, ensuring compliance with corporate objectives and standards.
  • Collate, analyse, and interpret data to develop performance data dashboards and support decision making.
  • Manage internal governance processes and oversee delivery partners and consultancy support.
  • Monitor training plans and undertake continued professional development.

Employee Specification:

  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring using Microsoft Project.
  • Proficiency in analysing and presenting complex data sets using Excel, Power BI, and Word.
  • Ability to review processes and suggest improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ideally, experience in the public sector with knowledge of transport or built environment.

Qualifications:

  • A project management qualification is desirable.
  • A degree in transport, environment, or related field is desirable.
