Are you ready to take your career to the next level with a leading global consultancy? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Controller to join the Finance team in Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity to support project managers in tracking financial performance, relaying key messages about project evolution, and managing risks and opportunities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support financial performance management with planning, forecasting, and reporting for EMEA Data Centre projects.
  • Work with Offshore Teams and ensure project transactional finance activities, including billing and purchasing, are up to date in collaboration with our team in the Philippines.
  • Manage time and material projects
  • Ensure accurate reflection of project-specific inter-company transactions.
  • Address transactional finance queries for the EMEA Data Centre sector.
  • Assist in updating project master data and support the creation of new projects as needed.

Role Requirements:

  • Actively studying for a professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 year's experience, with at least 1 year in a similar role.
  • Good understanding of basic project accounting.
  • Experience in consulting or construction is advantageous but not essential.
  • Familiarity with international business operations
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication skills
  • Ability to integrate seamlessly into multidisciplinary and cultural teams.
  • Proficiency in Office 365, especially Excel, and knowledge of SAP (ideally SAP 4/HANA).
  • Understanding of IFRS 15 revenue recognition.
