Accelerate Teaching is excited to present an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic and thriving Secondary School in Wakefield. We are seeking a dedicated individual who is passionate about education and committed to fostering an engaging learning environment.



About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the continuity of education for students during teacher absences. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons: Ensuring students remain on task and engaged with the set curriculum.
  • Classroom management: Upholding the school's behaviour policies and creating a positive, respectful atmosphere.
  • Supporting student learning: Providing assistance and guidance to students to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Liaising with staff: Communicating effectively with teachers and school leadership to ensure smooth lesson transitions and address any issues that arise.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar educational role.
  • Strong Communication Skills: The ability to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
  • Adaptability: The capability to manage different classroom situations with confidence and ease.
  • Organisational Skills: Efficient in planning and executing tasks to ensure a seamless educational experience for students.
