Accelerate Teaching is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cover Supervisor at a vibrant secondary school in Bradford, starting in September 2024. We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on students' educational journeys.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the school by covering lessons during the absence of teachers. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a positive learning environment and ensure that students remain on task with their work. This is an excellent opportunity for those with a background in education to further develop their skills and experience within a supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and focused.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies.
  • Provide support and assistance to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Liaise with teaching staff to ensure seamless delivery of lessons and continuity in students' learning.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos and success of the school.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar educational role is essential.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain discipline and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Adaptability and the ability to respond effectively to the varying needs of different classes.
  • A proactive approach and a genuine passion for education and student development.
